PETA attacks NASCAR

Seriously how can we take PETA seriously for this?

(AP) PETA is pecking away at NASCAR fans doing the chicken dance.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the Guinness records people to ignore an attempt to set a new record for the chicken dance. Some 125,000 fans were at the Talladega Superspeedway Sunday and many were shaking their tail feathers.

KFC was the sponsor of the record attempt and PETA charges the Colonel is cruel to chickens. A KFC spokesman denies the allegations.

And in yet another story about PETA pecking away at random things.

In a story out of Little Rock, PETA has filed for an investigation from the USDA for a case where a baby Lemur fell into a moat surrounding the exhibit. Apparently the baby fell into the moat and couldn't swim, so zoo staff pulled the lemur out and saved it. The lemur later died due to possible pneumonia. PETA has petitioned the USDA for an investigation into the zoo's exhibit, accusing the zoo of violations of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA).

Can we seriously take this organization seriously. It seems as if they will do anything to get publicity. They need to stop spending money on silly circumstances and save their millions of puppies the euthanize every year.
